Wirepas is seeking an experienced Product Owner to guide the development of the Network Management System (NMS) a backend product that supports Wirepas Mesh network monitoring, analytics, and management.

Wirepas NMS consists of microservices implementing management and analytics logic for Wirepas Mesh networks, accompanied by a Web UI that provides dashboards and control views for end users. It is deployable on Kubernetes clusters or server-based environments depending on scalability and fault tolerance needs.

In Wirepas software development, the Product Owner is the key driverdefining both the content and delivery of the product. In this role, you will combine both the traditional text book Product Owner and Product Management roles to manage Wirepas NMS throughout the whole development lifecycle. Youll work with a cross-functional team of 1015 developers, DevOps engineers, and UI specialists working on web frontend, backend services, cloud infrastructure, and microservices. Youll own the release plan for the entire Wirepas NMS product, ensuring it aligns with both near-term deliverables and long-term strategy. Youll keep stakeholders informed and involved, and make sure every release meets business goals, maintains high quality, and delivers real value. Your understanding of both software engineering practices and customer needs enables you to meet technical and business perspectives throughout the release cycle.

You have an enthusiasm for driving and defining software products. Youve got a sharp mind, a bias for action, and a drive to build software that makes a difference. You know how to prioritize, push things forward, and solve real problems not just shuffle tickets. You see patterns where others see chaos. You communicate clearly (in English, thats how we roll), collaborate like a pro, and dont wait around to be told what to do. Juggling multiple projects? No sweat. Turning complexity into clarity? Even better. If youre someone who sees opportunity where others see blockers, we want to talk.

As a Product Owner, your responsibilities include:
– Managing product requirements: Ensuring the team delivers high-value outcomes that meet business and user needs.
– Contributing to the end-to-end service business model
– Owning the NMS release plan: Defining the release schedule, tracking progress, and keeping all stakeholders aligned and informed.
– Driving cross-functional execution: Coordinating and influencing development, testing, operations, and release activities across teams.
– Identifying and managing risks: Proactively addressing anything that could impact release scope or timelines.
– Monitoring performance and driving improvement: Reporting on process efficiency and identifying areas for continuous improvement.

Wirepas offers you:
– Nordic work culture of trust, responsibility, freedom, and value for flat hierarchies.
– Flexibility in the form of a hybrid workcapability to visit the Tampere office weekly.
– Challenging work in the technology field. Not just fridges on the internet, but with real impact.
– Genuinely international working culture with the best talents and bright minds.
– The basics: indefinite contract with money to your bank account. Sometimes its not just the monthly remuneration but also bonuses.
– Different benefits, ranging from a leased bike to lunch money on top of your salary. Not to mention the amazing colleagues, theres lots.
– We want you to see the success youre a part of, so we offer options for shares.

For this role, were hoping youll wizard these:
– Balance of technical understanding and business thinking with a clear focus on what matters to the customer.
– Solid experience in product development and/or project management. Preferably in a role that connects technical teams with product and customer outcomes.
– Background of managing releases of cloud/backend software or services in close collaboration with engineering teams, with hands-on experience in documentation, iterative development, and Agile methodologies.
– Technical understanding of modern cloud platforms, backend service models, and how products are shaped to meet customer deployment needs.
– Excellent communication skillsboth in presenting ideas and leading cross-functional collaboration.
– Creative thinker with a vision, while maintaining attention to detail.
