Your role and responsibilities
We are looking for a Warranty Project Manager to join ABB Oy, Marine & Ports Division and our Marine Systems business line in Vuosaari, Helsinki.
Working within the warranty team provides an opportunity to comprehend customer needs and engage with various technical aspects that span the entire spectrum of Marine Systems scope of supply such as generators, transformers and drives. As a Warranty Project Manager, your primary responsibility is to coordinate solutions ensuring optimal customer satisfaction within budget constraints, during the warranty period. You will delegate tasks to the Warranty Team to expedite the identification of the best technical solutions within a short response time. Additionally, you will provide constructive feedback to R&D, Engineering, and Projects to enhance product quality and elevate customer satisfaction.
This position reports to Warranty Manager.
You will be mainly accountable for:
– Managing after-sales activities for several simultaneous Marine Systems projects
– Having budget responsibility for warranty projects
– Collaborating with Warranty Engineers and suppliers to coordinate best technical solutions in a timely manner
– Occasional international travel to meet with customers
Qualifications for the role:
– A sense of urgency and the ability to motivate partners to promptly and cost-efficiently resolve warranty commitments
– A B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in a relevant technical field, e.g. mechanical, electrical or automation engineering
– Previous substantial experience working in Project Business (either Marine or similar) is required in the role, previous working experience in warranty is highly appreciated
– Ability to see the bigger picture as well as the capability to effectively manage budgets are vital in the role
– Previous experience in marine technology, project management, service, or the shipping/maritime business are an advantage in the role
– Advanced written and spoken English skills; proficiency in Finnish is considered an advantage
– A systematic and self-starting approach to work, ability to work seamlessly in a multicultural business environment
– A professional demeanor with excellent communication and interpersonal skills; demonstrated patience, thoroughness, and efficiency in daily work practices
