Summer Trainee, International Affairs Team, City of Espoo
The City of Espoo is looking for a summer trainee to support the International Affairs and Immigration team. The tasks include event production tasks, communication tasks and assisting with visits.
The Summer Trainee will:
• help with the planning and organization of international events (especially with Espoo Innovation Day for ambassadors in August)
• participate in the production of marketing communication content together with the team
• help with the organisation of visits
• archive and analyse the materials of the international affairs team and
• carry out various background preparations and research related to the city’s international activities.
You may already be a professional in communications or events or maybe you’re familiar with the subject areas as part of your studies. Suitable study backgrounds are for example languages, communications, event management and social sciences. You should have experience in producing communication materials in an international environment. The tasks require fluent English, a goal-oriented approach and cooperation skills.
The position is fixed term for 3 months, starting in early May and ending in late August or early September. The starting and ending dates can be negotiated. There is also a possibility to use the vacation days during the 3-month employment period.
The location of the office is in Otaniemi (Otakaari 5A, Espoo) with occasional working days in Espoon keskus (Virastopiha 2, Espoo). Possibility to work remotely occasionally.
Salary: 2000 € per month (KVTES)
Working hours: 36 h 15 min / week
