We are now looking for a Summer Trainee to join our Fuels R&D team at our Research Center in Lappeenranta.

We are looking for an open-minded, solution-oriented chemistry or chemical engineer student with good co-operative skills to work with us. By joining our team, you will get a great chance to work with research, analytics and piloting, latest innovations, and development of new bio-based products for our businesses. Your work will be supported by a team of inspiring R&D experts and colleagues at UPM’s businesses. What you will do
-The work includes a literature review and experimental trials with an aim to further develop processing of bio-oils
-Coordinate laboratory and piloting work and do some of the experiments by yourself
-Interpret laboratory results, make conclusions, report, and present the results
Who you are
-Ideally, you would have academic studies in fields of chemistry or chemical engineering
-Good skills in the processing of scientific results and reporting are necessary
-Previous experience or knowledge about bio-oils or biofuels is seen as beneficial
-You would also benefit from the following:
