We are looking for a Sourcing Specialist to join our client company Fortum’s Procurement Operations team. The team focuses on providing timely, high-quality services, and support for the procurement and business teams with tactical tasks, and ensuring operational efficiency.In this role, you will ensure that tactical sourcing services are delivered efficiently and meet high-quality standards. You will be responsible for supporting and executing RfX processes, conducting negotiations, and managing contracts in alignment with strategic sourcing goals. You will also contribute to the optimization of Source-to-Pay processes and the development of procurement systems. Additionally, you will participate in predefined projects, which may involve tasks such as tendering and contracting, depending on the needs of the project.This is a temporary position until April 2026 to cover for parental leave. The position is located in Espoo, Finland, with flexible work arrangements. While remote work is supported, we hope you can work from the office at least two days per week. The expected start date for this position is January 2025.Keys to success in this role
To succeed in this role, you should hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field, such as supply chain management or procurement. You should have at least 2-3 years of experience working in procurement, and prior experience in sourcing and contracting activities will be considered a strong advantage. Experience with Source-to-Pay systems is highly beneficial for this role.We require proficiency in English and Swedish, and Finnish skills or any additional language skills will be seen as an asset. You should bring a proactive and hands-on approach to your work and demonstrate the ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, along with a positive, “can-do” attitude, are essential.
