Our Sales Engineer / Technical Account Manager will be on parental leave starting in June 2025, and we are looking for an enthusiastic Sales Engineer as the replacement to our Sales team in Helsinki for at least one year. The job consists of technical sales and customer service and involves in-depth learning of the company system functionality. In this role you will work collaboratively with our sales and engineering teams to provide technical expertise, support sales efforts, and drive revenue by identifying and understanding customer needs. Even though this work is independent, you would have the full support of the members of our Sales team.
To succeed in this role, you have minimum MSc level degree in applied or technical physics and excellent presentation skills. We need a person who has desire and ability to independently handle challenging tasks, so you have hands-on attitude, and you are a positive team player. Of course, you also have a genuine interest towards physics and technology, and you are curious to always learn more.

Your main responsibilities would be
Understand customer requirements and propose technical solutions that align with their needs
Articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences, ensuring clear understanding and value proposition
Conducting product demonstrations, technical presentations, and addressing customer inquiries
Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their pain points and offering our solutions
Act as a liaison between the sales and engineering departments, providing feedback and insights to improve product development
Assist in the creation of technical proposals, documentation, and reports for clients
Stay updated on industry trends, market changes, and competitors’ offerings to provide insightful input and maintain a competitive edge
What we expect from you
– Minimum MSc level degree in applied or technical physics, or strong experience from a relative field
– Proven experience in a technical sales or sales engineering role preferably with scientific instrumentation
– Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to convey technical information effectively
– Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
– Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically to meet sales targets
– Fluency in English, both written and spoken
– Willingness to travel occasionally

– Knowledge of vacuum equipment
– Positive, hands-on attitude
