Your role with us
In this position, you will join a team of four experienced finance professionals and report to Senior Manager, Group Controlling & Accounting. The team’s main role is to provide accurate, timely and relevant IFRS compliance and reporting to both external and internal stakeholders.
As an Assistant Controller at Rapala, your primary responsibility will be to support the group reporting on a monthly, half-year, and annual basis together with your team. Our Group Finance team is compact, so you will get a wide view of the finance function and get to grow your expertise in a versatile way.
Key responsibilities:
Monthly, half-year and annual closings in collaboration with your colleagues:
– Participating in monthly group consolidation process
– Assisting subsidiaries with accounting matters
– Participating in preparation of stock earnings announcements and annual financial statements
– Other assisting responsibilities
Participating in Groups consolidation system renewal project
What we value:
– A collaborative team player with a continuous learning mindset
– Suitable educational background in finance, accounting or similar
– Some previous experience in accounting, audit or assistant controller roles. Its a clear asset if you have worked with group accounting previously.
– Strong Excel skills
– Genuine interest in accounting, compliance and IFRS regulations
– Familiarity with consolidation tools is an advantage
– Seasonal flexibility with working times (e.g. preparation of financial statements)
– Fluency in both Finnish and English, both written and spoken

Practicalities:
This is a full-time, permanent position. You will be employed directly at Rapala VMC. Start time in the role is according to agreement. The role will be located in Helsinki, Käpylä, and we hope you are able to work at the office at least a few days per week as part of a hybrid model. Salary ranges between 3300-3900 €/month (gross) depending on the level of your experience.
