We are now looking for a Project Engineer for our client Wärtsilä to strengthen their Energy Services Upgrades team, working on global projects that provide lifecycle support and upgrades to energy plants and equipment. In this role, you will assist with technical solutions, support project schedules and budgets, and ensure the successful delivery of projects alongside the project manager. About the role
As a Project Engineer, you will manage technical solutions, oversee schedules, budgets, and quality standards, and support the project manager in coordinating tasks across stakeholders. Your responsibilities include managing engineering, procurement, and logistics, as well as supporting risk management and reporting. You will collaborate closely with internal teams and external vendors to ensure adherence to contract specifications. The role requires occasional global travel to project sites. While the role demands responsibility and ownership taking, you will work closely with project managers and senior engineers to ensure successful project execution.

We are looking for
-Relevant educational background and interest in electrical and automation engineering
-Some years of experience working in project business, preferably in energy sector
-Strong communication and collaboration skills with hefty amount of can-do-attitude
-Fluency in English, with Finnish as a plus

Previous experience from power plants, or retrofit projects is considered beneficial.
