We are looking for a biology teacher.

About us:
Vietnam-Finland International School (VFIS) is a state-of-the-art international school providing both international and bilingual programs for grades 1-12 with a diverse staff community consisting of Finnish, International, and Vietnamese teachers. Our two international programmes offer Finnish curriculum learning for Grades 1-10, followed by the International Baccalaureate program (IBDP) for Grades 11-12. Our bilingual program offers G1-12 learning following the Vietnamese curriculum fused with the Finnish approach to holistic student development.

Description
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or above in Biology Education or a related field.
Teaching credentials may be required.

Experience:
3 years minimum experience teaching Biology with the IB curriculum at the secondary and high school levels.
Strong knowledge of biology concepts and principles.
Teaching in an international environment is preferred
Proving working in Southeast Asia environments is preferred
Experience with (or motivation to learn) the Finnish curriculum is preferred

Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging and accessible biology instruction.
Develop and implement engaging and comprehensive lesson plans aligned with IB curriculum.
Develop and implement innovative teaching methods, including the use of technology, real-world applications, and problem-solving activities.
Assess student learning through a variety of methods, including quizzes, tests, projects, and class participation.
Adapt lessons to meet the diverse needs and learning styles of all students.
Prepare students for standardized tests.
Participate in school events and activities as needed.
Work collaboratively with colleagues to innovate, create and deliver the curriculum to meet the expectations as communicated in our school curriculum;
Administrative duties (students comments, assessment development, grading, etc.)
Willing to participate in the school’s curriculum progress.
