Your role and responsibilities
We are now looking for a new Marketing Specialist to join our team at Distribution Solutions in Vaasa, Finland. In this role, you will have the opportunity to drive and implement marketing activities for the assigned market segments in line with the agreed strategy, enabling go-to-market readiness by supporting the product development process, supporting product releases, increasing awareness, visibility and understanding of the related product offering. This role is contributing to the Distribution Solutions, Digital Substation Products, Product Marketing globally. Main stakeholders are marketing and sales, product management and R&D functions, internal and external sales channels, external customers and partners.
The work model for the role is: #LI-hybrid.
This position reports to Product Marketing Manager.
You will be mainly accountable for:
Value propositions and segment marketing
– Developing and communicating end user value propositions for defined customer segments, both internally and externally, while creating segment-specific marketing collateral to support business growth.
Creative content creation
– Developing creative concepts related to new products and solutions in accordance with corporate communication branding guidelines.
– Managing the creation, production and publication of brochures, catalogues, presentations, and other promotional materials including, but not limited to, technical promotion videos, web page content, and training material to support sales activities and product releases.
– Creating and maintaining web pages for product information.
– Participating in event preparation activities and collaborating on global product-related initiatives such as catalogues and digital platforms.
– Implementing the ABB brand and supporting the visibility throughout the organization
– Exploring digital platforms and opportunities to support the development of marketing activities and processes.
Product development and product releases
– Participating as the sales and marketing representative in assigned R&D projects and executing the marketing related tasks.
– Coordinating the creation of sales tools (go-to-market toolkits) and driving the release preparations in assigned R&D projects
– Training our sales organization and channels in marketing and promotional tools
– Driving product launches and related activities.
– Monitoring market trends in target segments and accordingly recommending improvements in the marketing strategy and planning to meet changes in market and competitive landscapes
Qualifications for the role:
– M.Sc. level degree from a relevant field, such as Marketing, Communication, Arts (English language) with specialization in marketing, technical and business language
– Extensive (more than 5 years) of professional experience in a similar marketing role (international B2B experience preferred) focusing on content creation to promote complex industrial products
– Fluency in English both written and spoken with strong communication skills. Finnish and/or Swedish language skills are considered as an advantage
– Experience in working with tools such as MS Office, Adobe CS, SFDC and Pardot
– Self-driven personality with the ability to inspire and manage multiple stakeholders to reach set targets
– Attention to technical details while managing the creation process of customer-oriented marketing material
– A proactive, can-do attitude with the ability to work independently, and ability to collaborate across functions and levels of the organization
– Familiarity with medium-voltage protection and control solutions is considered an advantage
