We are looking for a Mainframe Developer for our client in banking.
We are looking for an experienced Mainframe Developer to join our team and work on a suite of enterprise-level mainframe applications. As a Mainframe Developer, you will be responsible for designing, maintaining and modernizing mainframe applications that are critical to our business operations. You will play a key role in ensuring these systems meet enterprise standards for performance, scalability and security while driving modernization efforts to integrate with modern technologies. You will also be responsible for providing technical documentation and operational support for all mainframe-related activities.
Role and Responsibilities:
• Provide technical documentation, design specifications and operational support for all mainframe-related activities
• Further develop, maintain and enhance enterprise-level mainframe applications to support business operations
• Analyze existing systems to identify opportunities for modernization and improvements
• Design and implement integration strategies, including APIs and other modern connectivity solutions to enhance interoperability
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration
Skills:
• Proven experience with IBM mainframe technologies, including COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2 and other relevant tools
• Strong expertise in modernizing mainframe systems, including data integration and API-based connectivity
• Comprehensive understanding of enterprise-level application design and large-scale transaction processing.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering solutions for high-risk, mission critical systems.
• Experience with DevOps practices in mainframe environments
• Familiarity with cloud technologies or hybrid infrastructure involving mainframes
