Kuvaus

Paf is a pioneering Nordic gaming company, founded on the Åland Islands in 1966 with a clear mission: to generate funds for the benefit of society. We were among the first in the world to go online back in 1999 and continue to lead by focusing on sustainability, responsibility, and long-term thinking.
We’re proud to be an award-winning industry leader in responsible gaming-raising the bar and putting players first.
We are now recruiting for a Junior Java developer, living on Åland Islands today.

Who you are
You might be a recent graduate, or a junior developer, looking for the right opportunity to learn and grow. What matters most is your curiosity, motivation, and willingness to take initiative – alongside a genuine interest in Java development and scalable backend systems.

We believe you have:
– A solid understanding of Java (preferably version 21+).
– Interest in Spring Boot, Kafka, SQL, and AWS.
– A mindset geared toward clean code, accountability, and collaboration.

And we value qualities like:
– Passion for tech and learning.
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
– Drive and independence – you don’t wait to be told what to do.
– Willingness to ask for help and give it when needed.

The Team & Role
You’ll join a collaborative and skilled team working at the heart of Paf’s technical ecosystem. The Integrations Team is responsible for our high-performance integration platform that connects over 100 game providers to our systems-delivering thousands of games and processing a massive volume of gaming transactions every second.
You’ll work across the full development lifecycle, contributing to everything from planning and development to testing and deployment. We also build internal tools that simplify workflows for our operational teams, helping them release new games quickly and reliably.
Whether you’re just starting your tech career or already have some experience under your belt, this is a great place to grow alongside experienced developers and architects in a supportive, knowledge-sharing environment.

What We Offer
– A company with steady, purposeful growth since 1966.
– A welcoming and collaborative culture where people stay long-term.
– Flexible working hours and generous wellness and healthcare benefits.
– Minimal overtime-we care more about your long-term well-being than short-term gains.
– A modern office environment with weekly breakfasts, in-house massage, gym, and more.
