Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to be responsible for the monthly forecasting, inventory management and daily material planning, order placement and scheduling in your own material category area to improve availability and customer on time delivery, while meeting the business expectations on inventory. Each day, you will demonstrate a strong analytical and customer-focused mindset and passion for process improvement to ensure an uninterrupted supply of spare parts together with the key internal suppliers.
This position is a temporary parental leave substitute until the end of September 2026.
The work model for the role is: hybrid #LI-hybrid.
This position reports to Supply Chain Manager.
This role is contributing to the Motion Service division in Pitäjänmäki, Helsinki, Finland. Main stakeholders are internal production lines in Finland and Estonia, inbound logistics, customer service teams, product management and product information team.
You will be mainly accountable for:
– Overall planning ownership of ABB internal material flow including ordering and availability for a designated material category
– Open order management, such as following up production lines order confirmations and on-time deliveries together with production planning
– Material parameter handling in SAP and GIM Syncron to manage replenishment of spare parts with different demand patterns
– Forecasting ownership for designed material category
– Code opening, expand and maintenance for spare parts in different supply chain management lifecycles (e.g. ramp up and ramp down)
– Obtaining the best possible performance in terms of on-time delivery, quality, lead time and flexibility in close co-operation with internal production lines

Qualifications for the role:
– A few years’ work experience in inventory and supply chain operations is essential
– Advanced skills in SAP, preferably in MM module, is relevant
– Ability to demonstrate your knowledge and experience in inventory tool is beneficial
– Proven experience in quantitative analysis and tools such as excel, together with enhanced knowledge of Power BI is relevant
– It is essential that you enjoy cooperating and communicating with people
– Ability to demonstrate your skills in managing multiple tasks efficiently
– You are at ease communicating in English and Finnish, both in written and spoken
– Possessing a great teamwork attitude, strong attention to detail and preventing errors and solving problems are a must
– B.Sc. or M.Sc. in a relevant field related to logistics and/or supply chain management
– Ability to demonstrate your experience of managing supplier relations is beneficial
– Knowledge of the production environment and after sales operations is beneficial
