Looking for an opportunity to gain practical experience in the wind industry while still studying? Nordex Nordic is currently looking for a student to work as an HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) working student. As an HSE working student your main tasks are supporting our QHSE team in their everyday routines, mainly ensuring operational compliance with Nordex HSE management system as well as Finnish laws and regulations.

This is a flexible position that can be adapted to your studies, with an average of 20 working hours per week and paid by the hours performed. You will also have the opportunity to fill in for colleagues during vacation periods. The position is open to current degree students and requires a commitment of at least one year. We wish that the chosen candidate would be able to start in January/February 2025.

In your role as HSE working student your main tasks would be:
– Document control of HSE documents for sub-contractors and foreign Nordex workers; including all corporate registration and insurance documentation and individual registrations and certificates
– Providing information about Finnish HSE and Contractors Liability Laws and Nordex requirements to subcontractors and Nordex workers
– Investigating minor HSE incidents and coordinating corrective actions
– Supporting other departments (Project Management, Service, etc.) on HSE topics
– Creating HSE information bulletins and “lessons learned” leaflets

To be successful in this role, the following attributes are important:
– Studies in relevant discipline such as HSE(Q), engineering, administration or environmental studies
– Preferably some work experience
– Good computer skills on Word, Excel and Power Point
– Good English skills, both verbal and written. Finnish or Swedish skills are beneficial
– Team player attitude while having the ability to work independently and responsibly
