Responsibilities:
Attention to detail and adherence to health and safety standards are crucial in this role.
Prepare and bake a wide range of bread, pastries, cakes, and other baked goods.
Measure and mix ingredients according to recipes or personal judgment to create high-quality products.
Decorate and present baked goods, ensuring their visual appeal meets company standards.
Monitor oven temperatures and adjust as necessary to ensure consistent quality.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper goods storage and labelling of ingredients.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely production and delivery of orders.
Stay updated on baking trends and techniques to improve skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Baker or in a similar role in a bakery or kitchen environment.
Knowledge of baking techniques and the ability to follow recipes accurately.
Creativity and a passion for baking.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent time management skills.
Certification from a culinary school or apprenticeship is a plus.
Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy trays of baked goods.
