We are seeking an experienced and strategic

Division Business Controller / M&A specialist

to drive business performance and help shape the future of our Air Technology & Electromechanics division companies.

We are looking for a Business Controller / M&A Specialist who is passionate about finance and business within an industrial context. You have a strong foundation in business operations, with experience in leading or closely supporting businesses through financial and M&A activities. This role requires a keen analytical mind, strong financial acumen, and hands-on experience in M&A within an industrial environment. The role involves a wide range of responsibilities, including financial analysis, strategy support, M&A process management, and collaboration with senior leadership. Our headquarters is in Helsingborg, Sweden, but your local office will be in Pirkanmaa. You are reporting directly to the Division President in Finland.

Key Responsibilities:

– Business performance development: Analyze division companies’ KPIs, develop improvement scenarios, and align strategies to meet ownership and division targets.
– Financial & strategic analysis: Provide financial insight and analysis to support division strategy and decision-making processes for the board of directors.
– Market & competitor Analysis: Evaluate market opportunities, map competitor and industry landscapes, and identify business development prospects.
– Business case development: Participate in creating business case models, identify profitability drivers, and develop financial data reports for division needs.
– IT & process automation: Recognize and implement IT automation and AI advancements in finance processes to improve efficiency.
– M&A support & strategy: Build a pipeline of acquisition targets, create M&A strategy recommendations, and manage deal negotiation, structuring, and post-merger processes.
– Collaboration: Work closely with the finance, legal, and business development teams in Sweden, to ensure compliance and support company growth objectives.
– Board participation: May participate in board work across division companies to provide insights and support decision-making.

Qualifications:

– Master’s degree in Economics or a related field.
– Several years of experience in finance, such as working in a business controller position or M&A professional, ideally within an industrial production setting.
– Strong financial and strategic analysis, business development expertise, valuation and financial modeling experience, and negotiation skills.
– Solution-oriented with a proactive, analytical approach, ability to connect strategic thinking to financial details, and mature interpersonal skills for effective team collaboration.
– Fluency in English is required, proficiency in Swedish is considered an advantage.
