We are looking for a talented Design Manager to lead our Process engineering team in Espoo. The team currently includes 10 dedicated professionals and will grow in the future. The location for the Design Manager is Elomatic office in Otaniemi.
As a key member of our new Business Unit Industry’s Engineering Unit, you will provide top-tier engineering, design, and project execution services to our clients. Manager role is part time role, role also includes supporting project sales and depending on your own background either process specialist or project manager role in projects.
As a Design Manager, your key responsibilities are:
– Project work based on your background f.e process specialist, project management or some other role supporting your teams contribution.
– Take on project supervisor roles when necessary.
– Participation in sales (technology and engineering support, proposal work and offer calculation, client relations).
– Ensure high-quality project production and execution within your area of expertise. Maintaining and developing know-how in own area of expertise in co-operation with other Process Departments Design Managers.
– Personnel management and leadership for your own team.
– Participation in recruitment and orientation process in own area of expertise.
– Participation in subcontracting from own discipline perspective.

What we expect from you
– B.Sc., M.Sc. or equivalent (preferably in technology) in a suitable field.
– Knowledge of process engineering process, in different project phases and deliverables of process engineering.
– Strong experience in your own expertise area related to process engineering or ability to lead concept design and pre-engineering projects.
– Knowhow from some process engineering software’s and capability of participate development work of these are considered an asset.
– Extensive experience in personnel leadership, skills management, and employee development.
– Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
– Problem solving skills.
– Capacity to work effectively under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
– Fluent in Finnish in mandatory due to our customers and proficient in English is needed; other languages are considered an asset.
– Willingness to travel.
