Kuvaus

Do you have experience in designing and analyzing structures or simulating and solving complex mechanical problems? Would you like to be part of taking industry towards a more sustainable tomorrow? If your answer is yes, take your next career step to Sweco and our brilliant team!
As a Design Engineer specializing in demanding calculations, your primary responsibility will involve modeling and executing advanced Finite Element Method (FEM) calculations, typically within the realms of structural engineering and industrial applications. Unlike traditional static structural design, your work will involve models that cannot rely on linear behavior due to factors such as high-speed dynamic loading, non-linear structural responses, or complex material stress-strain relationships. Essentially, your role begins where conventional design codes reach their limits. Examples of projects may include seismic analysis for structures, simulations of explosions and impacts, vehicle or aircraft collision assessments on structures, analysis of vibrations caused by wind or rotating machinery, and in-depth investigations into the behavior of unreinforced concrete under high tension or shear loads.
You will thrive as part of our international team, where daily communication is primarily conducted in English. Our team specializes in cutting-edge developments within the industry, making this an exciting opportunity for the right candidate. We may assess your skills during a potential interview or as a preliminary task.
