Tampere Site is the heart of Drilling within Sandvik Mining and Rock Solutions Business Area, and the main competence and manufacturing center for three Divisions: Surface Drilling, Underground Drilling, and Digital Mining Technologies.
Sites Business Control team is now looking for a new finance professional for Controller, Digital Finance role. The position is full time, permanent and located at Tampere (Myllypuro), Finland where Sandvik has a global technology and manufacturing center for mining equipment.
Your role
As a member of Site Control team, you will collaborate with various divisions, gaining a comprehensive understanding of our business operations. Your expertise in digital finance will be crucial in preparing financial data for monthly reporting and quarterly forecasts, as well as developing innovative digital financial tools and supporting our reporting development. You will ensure the accuracy of our accounting practices and master the flow of financial data across systems. Your role will involve maintaining and developing Power BI models for financial reporting, driving automation, and enhancing efficiency. You will actively identify and drive development projects that improve and simplify the reporting tools and processes.
Your background
We seek a candidate with a Bachelors or Masters degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field, coupled with proven experience in digital finance. Your solid understanding of accounting principles, proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Power BI), and experience with financial systems like OneStream, Microsoft Dynamics 365, and Jedox will set you apart.
You enjoy working in environment where continuous improvements and development projects are part of your regular work. You can build strong relationships based on trust and honesty and you work effectively in a team and enjoy networking.
Your way of working is proactive, collaborative and efficient and you understand the context and data flows. You are a service-minded team player with flexible and can-do attitude. Good communication and strong interpersonal skills as well as the ability to prioritize and keep deadlines are also essential.
