We are looking for a Construction Engineerto join our clients China Harbour Engineering Company Ltd. team for the KotkaCAM Plant project.
China Harbour Engineering Company Ltd.(CHEC) is a world-renowned international contractorand a leading provider of comprehensive services across the entire industrychain for both public and private sectors. CHEC has been engaged as the maincontractor for the CAM Plant project in Kotka, responsible for theimplementation and construction of the plant.
In this Construction Engineer role, youwill be part of the design team that contributes to the successful execution ofthe project. The position is project-based, with an expected duration ofapproximately two years, and the work is located in Keltakallio, Kotka.
Your responsibilities include:
– Providing on-site technicalsupport and resolving construction-related technical issues.
– Reviewing construction drawingsand ensuring compliance with design specifications.
– Guiding on-site constructionactivities in accordance with approved technical plans and drawings.
– Preparing, reviewing, and updatingconstruction technical plans and documentation.
– Supervising and inspecting theimplementation of construction techniques and methods.
– Organizing and conducting technicalbriefings to ensure construction personnel fully understand and followtechnical requirements.
– Participating in qualityinspections and acceptance procedures throughout the construction process.
– Assisting in the planning andtechnical coordination of infrastructure projects, including roads, drainage,utilities, and foundation works.
– Ensuring thatinfrastructure-related construction complies with relevant technical standardsand integrates seamlessly with superstructure works.
What we expect from you:
– Bachelors or masters degreein civil/construction engineering.
– Minimum 3 years of relevantwork experience in building construction.
– Prior experience in industrialfacilities (e.g., factories, warehouses) is a strong plus.
– Proficiency in reading,interpreting, and reviewing technical drawings.
– Familiarity with internationalconstruction standards and quality control processes.
– Strong problem-solving skillsand on-site coordination abilities.
– Working experience in Finlandor Northern Europe is preferred.
– Full professional proficiencyin English. Finnish skills is a benefit
