Your role with us
As a Junior Project Accountant, you will be an essential part of Boskalis Terramare’s Nordic finance team, ensuring smooth financial operations for their diverse projects. Reporting directly to the Finance Controller, your responsibilities will include:
– Compliance and audit: Monthly review of the balance sheet and assisting with the annual audit. Ensuring that financial administration (general ledger) complies with Boskalis procedures and legislation.
– Financial management for projects: You will actively monitor the finances of the projects and equipment, keeping a close eye on income and expenses to ensure everything is under control.
– Reporting and forecasting: Preparing and submitting periodic financial reports, as well as assisting in budgeting and forecasting.
– International collaboration: Supporting Shared Service Centre in Abu Dhabi and communicating with global stakeholders.
You will have the opportunity to work with a variety of projects, ranging from short-term assignments to long-term initiatives, primarily in Finland and Sweden, but also across other Nordic and Baltic countries. We require you to have:
– A Bachelor’s degree in business economics, accountancy, or a related field
– Some relevant (part-time or full-time) experience in financial administration
– A good knowledge of financial procedures, accounting principles, and methods
– Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel
– Strong analytical, proactive, flexible and hands-on approach to work
– Willingness to travel to project locations when needed (approximately 5-10 travel days per year)
– A full working proficiency in Finnish and good skills in English

Practicalities:
This is a full-time and permanent position. You will be employed directly to Boskalis Terramare. Start time in the role is according to the agreement. The role will be located in Espoo, and we hope you are able to work mainly at the office. In addition, the role may require occasional travel to project sites. Salary in this position is approximately 3000-4000 €/month (gross) depending on the level of your experience, and will be negotiated individually.
