Your role and responsibilities
We are looking for a driven and dedicated Area Sales Manager to join the Regional Sales team at ABB Oy, Distribution Solutions in Vaasa, Finland. In this role you will drive the sales performance for the full portfolio of Digital Substation Products in Electrification Business Distribution Solutions, participating in sales strategy discussions, assigning goals and negotiating sales budgets and marketing plans.
You will be responsible for defining and executing the marketing and sales strategies to capture market share and ensure profitable and sustainable growth, working closely with local ABB sales units as well as end customers and different sales channels. Additionally, you will direct and coach local teams and interact directly with external customers and channels in the Middle East region and some European countries to meet the targets and exceed customer expectations.
This position reports to Sales Manager.
The work model for the role is: #LI-hybrid.
You will be mainly accountable for:
– Customer Relationship Management (CRM)
– Managing frame agreements, project pipelines, approvals and homologations
– Planning and executing project launches for own customers
– Marketing and promotion activities, including managing market intelligence
– Conducting customer visits for business discussions, frequent travelling is required
– Growth oriented sales and marketing activities for Channel Customers and end users
– Creating and executing market specific strategies
Qualifications for the role:
– Previous experience in B2B sales and in business development
– Good communication and presentation skills
– Fluency in English, other languages are an advantage, especially Arabic
– Ideally, ABB Protection and Control product knowledge and/or experience in Power Business
– An active, energetic, and open approach to work
– Ability to manage large networks of business stakeholders with a driven attitude and independent approach
– Flexibility in travelling, approximately +100 days annually
– A Degree in Electrical Engineering, Business Administration or equivalent
– International business background is seen as a benefit
