Your role with us
As a Product Assurance / Quality Assurance Engineer at ASRO, you will play a vital role in both project-specific and company-wide quality management. Your work will initially focus on electronics-related quality topicssuch as component selection, manufacturing processes, and ESA standards complianceand expand into broader areas of quality engineering as your expertise grows.

Youll be involved in quality assurance for space hardware projects, including a European Space Agency (ESA) initiative to develop radiation dosimeters for astronauts on the International Space Station and future lunar missions. Youll ensure compliance with ESA and NASA quality requirements, contribute to internal quality development, and contribute to building ASROs company-wide quality processes.

This is a new and exciting role in the company, giving you the opportunity to shape your responsibilities based on your strengths and interestsranging from electronics quality to software quality, documentation, and process improvement.

You have a quality-oriented mindset and a strong foundation in quality-related work. You are precise, analytical, and able to navigate complex requirements and standards. While experience in the space industry is not required, we value your motivation to learn, your curiosity, and your enthusiasm to take on the unique challenges of space projects.

We hope you have:
– A relevant university degree (e.g. electronics, engineering, quality management, industrial engineering)
– A few years of work experience in quality-related tasks
– Understanding of electronics or willingness to deepen your knowledge in the field
– Familiarity with quality systems, documentation, and process development
– Strong analytical thinking and a solution-oriented mindset
– Full professional proficiency in English – skills in Finnish are considered an advantage.

Additionally, we value:
– Experience with ESA, NASA, or other regulated industry standards
– Knowledge of quality systems and related documentation practices
