The International School of Vantaa is looking for a Special Education teacher to join our team.
The International School of Vantaa is a multicultural comprehensive school with around 660 students. Our school provides English-language instruction for grades 1 – 9. Students are admitted based on a language proficiency test, and most have a strong foundation in English or a native level of proficiency.
Our curriculum aligns with the National Core Curriculum for Basic Education, focusing on developing well-rounded, knowledgeable students who can thrive in a global, English-speaking environment.
Qualifications:
– A higher university degree in special education or equivalent.
– Qualified as a special education teacher (in accordance with decree 986/1998).
– If your degree was completed outside of Finland, an equivalent qualification recognized by the Finnish National Board of Education is required.
– English language proficiency as required by the Finnish National Agency for Education.

Kelpoisuusvaatimus: Opetustoimen henkilöstön kelpoisuusvaatimuksista annetun asetuksen 986/1998 mukainen kelpoisuus.
Kelpoisuusvaatimuksen lisäksi edellytämme: Mother tongue is English or who has successfully passed the top level of the National Certificate of Language Proficiency test in the English language . Finnish language proficiency is required.
Luemme eduksi: We consider Finnish language skills an advantage.
Palvelussuhteen ehdot määräytyvät Kunnallisen opetushenkilöstön virka- ja työehtosopimuksen (OVTES) mukaisesti.
