Northern Lights Village is an experiential hotel concept that offers unforgettable Northern Lights experiences and high-quality travel services in Lapland. We employ over 300 seasonal workers across our three stunning locations: Levi, Saariselkä, and Pyhä. We are now looking for a Reception Supervisor to join our fully experienced and dynamic team!

Job Description

As a Reception Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the hotel’s reception operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere. You will work closely with other departments, such as housekeeping and the restaurant, to ensure seamless hotel guest experience.

Key Responsibilities of the Reception Supervisor:

– Daily operations: The Reception Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the hotel’s reception, including daily reception tasks, reservation management, and customer service.
– Customer service: Ensuring high-quality customer service is essential. This includes promptly and efficiently handling guests’ requests and issues.
– Staff management: The Reception Supervisor leads the reception staff, including scheduling shifts, training, and motivating the team.
– Collaboration with other departments: Good cooperation with other hotel departments, such as housekeeping and the restaurant, is crucial for smooth operations.
– Reporting and administrative tasks: The Reception Supervisor is also responsible for various administrative tasks, such as reporting, budgeting, and analyzing customer feedback.

We expect from you:

– Strong background in hotelreception at the management level
– Excellent English languageskills and advanced IT skills
– Excellent leadership skills:The Reception Supervisor must be able to lead and motivate their teameffectively. This includes the ability to delegate tasks, resolve conflicts, and create a positive work environment.
– A positive Can Do -attitude andskills for new operations. Solution-focused and creative expertise is needed for the role.
– Strong customer service skills: Customer service is a key part of the Reception Supervisor’s position. They should be friendly, patient, and ready to solve guests’ problems quickly and efficiently.
– Organizational skills: Good organizational skills are essential to ensure smooth reception operations. This includes managing reservations, planning work shifts, and handling otheradministrative tasks. To perform well, it’s important that you have hands-on experience with collective agreement (MARA).
– Communication skills: The Reception Supervisor must be able to communicate clearly with both guests and staff. Good communication skills help avoid misunderstandings and ensure smooth cooperation.

The employment is part time (90h/3 weeks) August-September to around March-April. In a seasonal hotel, work is done at a fast pace during peak times, but it evens out, especially at the beginning and end of the season.
