PRODUCT SPECIALIST

We are seeking a proactive Product Specialist for our global Services & Product Concepts team in a permanent position at our head office in Helsinki. Join our team and help us make a difference!

Your key contribution areas

As a Product Specialist, you will be part of our cross-functional development team, contributing to the growth and success of Lindström’s service lines. You will have the opportunity to participate in exciting initiatives and provide crucial input in the team’s everyday development work. Your key responsibilities include:


Technical specifications and documentation: Maintain up-to-date product documentation and specifications and support materials for internal and external use.


Quality support and testing: Provide support in product quality-related issues as well as plan and coordinate product tests to meet quality requirements.


Sustainability and compliance: Contribute to sustainable product development and ensure alignment with relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements.


Product portfolio management: Manage product portfolio by evaluating new product options business impact on the existing offering and assisting in making business cases.


New product opportunities: Identify and initiate new product opportunities to enhance the existing product portfolio.

We hope you excel at managing technical details and documentation while seamlessly collaborating with both team members and other stakeholders. You should be eager to learn and work in a dynamic global business environment within textile services.

To thrive in this role, you should have:


A few years of experience in technical product management/specification, documentation, material contents, and product quality testing


A relevant academic degree (e.g. in textile or material engineering, industrial design, or a related field)


Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the capability to collaborate effectively and take responsibility for both independent tasks and the team’s common goals


The ability to self-direct, prioritise, and take accountability for achieving results


Strong technical skills, including the ability to use various software and tools (e.g. MS Office tools and Adobe Illustrator)


Familiarity with agile working methods or a willingness to learn


Excellent written and spoken English language skills

You will be part of our global Services and Product Concepts function that contributes to growth by ensuring we have a competitive service and product offering available for our selected focus and growth industries. This involves developing new products and services, enhancing existing ones, and collaborating with various departments to meet market needs and customer expectations. We are a diverse and ambitious team working in an agile way, ensuring flexibility and continuous improvement. In this role, you will work in cross-functional teams, collaborating closely with Service Owners, Category Managers and country organizations.
