Overview

Key Responsibilities:
Lead the end-to-end procurement process for Asian food products, including supplier identification, negotiation, order execution, and delivery oversight;
Conduct continuous analysis of market trends in Europe to identify products with high potential appeal to local consumers;
Work cross-functionally with departments such as Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs, Logistics, and Sales to ensure that all procured products meet relevant European Union food safety and compliance standards.
Develop and execute strategies to improve procurement efficiency, control costs, and optimize delivery lead times;
Conduct regular business travel to Asian countries (e.g., China, Japan, South Korea, Southeast Asia) for supplier meetings, audits, and sourcing activities;
Monitor developments in product innovation, technology, and raw material sourcing across Asian markets to support portfolio enhancement and long-term business development.
Candidate Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Food Science, Supply Chain Management, International Trade, or a related discipline (preferred);
A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a collaborative business environment, with demonstrated ability in supplier or client relationship management;
Strong familiarity with Asian food product categories and brand trends, including sauces, ready meals, frozen snacks, and beverages;
Proficiency in both Chinese and English, with the ability to communicate effectively across global teams and supplier networks;
Highly self-motivated and detail-oriented, with proven analytical thinking and project execution capabilities;
Possession of a valid driver’s license and willingness to undertake occasional business travel within Finland.
