Product Architect, AI/ML

KONE IT is looking for a Product Architect, AI/ML in Espoo Finland to design and build modern data-driven AI/ML solutions. These AI/ML products are central to our digital transformation, enabling business functions to make data driven decisions by applying predictive and prescriptive methods into value-driven business outcomes. 

In this role, you will design solution and technical architecture of our AI/ML use cases ensuring alignment with KONE’s enterprise architecture and business goals, and works hands-on with cloud technology realize the solution and technical architecture in our physical landscape. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Define technical and solution architecture of AI/ML products, ensuring scalability, simplicity, and cost-efficiency.
• Hands-on implementation of the cloud and AI/ML architecture and guiding agile team members on detailed design and key decisions. Act as ultimate technical design authority where needed. 
• Identify and address architectural requirements from stakeholders and ensure they align with business goals and implementation constraints.
• Driving architecture studies to arrive at right architecture addressing the needs of all stakeholders and continuously following the performance of the AI/ML products.
• Participate in backlog refinements and quarterly planning to support iterative delivery.

What You’ll Bring:

• Master’s degree in software/data engineering, computer science, data science/machine learning or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in AI/ML, including 5+ years of hands-on full-stack using modern cloud capabilities.
• Proven experience designing enterprise-scale cloud-based AI/ML solutions (5+ years), particularly on Databricksand AWS with strong security and cloud infrastructure understanding.
• Coding proficiency with multiple languages (e.g. Python and SQL). Ability to write compelling code, architecture diagrams using industry best practice notations and visualize architecture design.
• Fluency in industry-standard DevSecOps practices, SW engineering and CI/CT/CD tools, IaaS, IaaC, MLOps
• Experience with enterprise grade modern cloud data infrastructure.
• Strong systems thinking and ability to mentor and lead architecture work in large, multicultural teams.
• Fluent in English with excellent communication and facilitation skills.
