Join Our Team as a Planning Studio Team Leader at IKEA Oulu!
We are looking for a competent, result driven Planning Studio Team Leader to help us secure our future in Oulu Planning Studio. This position calls for a person comfortable leading a team and to grow the business in the future. Combining this with your knowledge of the IKEA product range and local market according to the customer needs and dreams in order to inspire them is the key to be successful in this role.
What you need to have
– Ability to take responsibility to lead daily operations and make well considered decisions who excels in a fast-paced retail environment.
– You are able to motivate, develop, inspire and lead your team members on an individual level by setting expectations and leading by example.
– You are good at prioritizing and organizing work in dynamic work environment by using commercial priorities in order to make the most efficient use of time.
– You want to constantly learn new things and develop your skills and competencies within IKEA.
– Ability to work both independently and together with your managers and team members. You dare to do things in a different way, and you are not afraid to do mistakes, and you dare to question established practices.
– You get extra points for studies in commercial education or other suitable education fields and for equivalent team leader work experience from commercial sector.
– You communicate fluently both in Finnish and English.

A DAY IN YOUR LIFE WITH AS THE PLANNING STUDIO TEAM LEADER
You will work strongly together with Planning Studio manager who you also report to and the team of 7 co-workers to reach the goals of your unit and to make the Planning Studio great place to work for everyone.
– Your will work on the shop floor where you lead by example every day, meeting customers, running daily operations, supporting, challenging and coaching your team
– Together with the team, you focus on putting the customer at first in everything you do. The goal is to exceed the customer expectations and sales goals on daily basis.
– Together with your manager, you take full responsibility for ensuring your unit is in shape as new.
– Together with your manager, you take responsibility for your department goals and ensure your action plan is in place and communicated clearly to the team.
– Ensure you have the right number of competent co-workers in the right place at the right time.
– You are responsible for developing your team on both team and individual level and organizing planned and mandatory trainings.
– You are passionate about the IKEA products. You create a high level of knowledge about the products’ features and benefits and share this with customers and your team.
– You are proactive in finding opportunities and acting on them to maximize sales through understanding customers and the local market and keeping an eye on competition.

This position is full time and fixed term until 31.1.2026. Starting in the role by agreement, but no later than June.
In this role your mainly working hours are between 8.00-19.00 and including also weekend shifts.
