Herkkujuustola is a place that offers experiences, cheese delights, and authentic Finnish local food. Cheese is at the heart of everything, approached with love, respect, and passion. In Herkkujuustola, there is a restaurant and café Juustotupa, serving lunch, bistro dishes, and various café products.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate chef to join the team at Juustotupa! Juustotupa is a unique restaurant that combines delicious food and handmade specialty cheeses. Herkkujuustola has a carefully designed bistro menu that offers unforgettable taste experiences. On weekdays, customers are treated to tasty lunch. Customers also have the opportunity to peek into the cheese production facilities and see how our cheeses are made.

The job for the chef includes versatile tasks where you can utilize your skills in preparing lunch or à la carte dishes. Working hours are on average 96 hours every 3 weeks, with higher hours during the peak season in July. The restaurant is open seven days a week, and kitchen opening hours vary depending on the day of the week. However, shifts do not last until late at night.

The need to start is in May and continues until the end of August to September. The salary is based on the employee’s professional skills and competence and is a contractual salary. We expect you to have experience working as a lunch chef or preparing à la carte dishes, as well as enthusiasm and passion for cooking, and fluency in Finnish or English.
