We are looking for 1-2 trainees with a passion for working in a global environment and a specific interest in Immigration and Assignment Services related matters. This is an opportunity to start you career as a global mobility professional in a truly global environment!

The opportunity
Our Immigration Services and Assignment Services professionals are part of EY’s People Advisory Services team in which we advise and assist our clients in matters related e.g. to global mobility, international social security and taxation, performance and reward. Our clients include both Finnish and global organisations. You will be working as a valued member of our team and be guided by our experienced professionals throughout the trainee period.

Your key responsibilities
Depending on the selected candidate(s) and their interests, it is possible to concentrate on one or both of the service areas. You will have the chance to participate in varied client projects together with our other global mobility professionals and utilize your skills to help our clients in moving talent to countries all over the world.

As an Immigration Services Trainee, you will have a chance to assist experienced immigration advisors in their daily work relating to both Finnish immigration and global immigration services. In global immigration cases we work together with EY’s global network offices. Your tasks may include e.g.
– Assistance in drafting visa, work and residence permit applications
– Researching information and contacting embassies and immigration authorities
– Assistance in coordinating and obtaining document translations and legalisations
– Supporting in immigration related client advisory and drafting emails and documents

As an Assignment Services Trainee, you will have a chance to assist experienced advisors in their daily work relating to international assignment programs. Services range from delivering completely outsourced assignment administration to providing specified assignment solutions and advisory for clients. Your tasks may include e.g.
– Assignment process coordination
– Support the completion of pre-departure activities for client personnel going on assignments
– Prepare assignment contract draft and initial compensation calculations
– Prepare certificate of coverage applications and coordinate with social security authorities

In addition to these, your daily tasks will include regular communication with the EY network, maintenance of databases and reporting, and assistance with administrative processes related to client work.

To qualify for the role, you must have
– Currently pursuing a suitable degree, for example in the field of international business, law, HR or business administration
– Advanced skills in Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Aptitude in other softwares such as SharePoint, PowerBI, etc. is an asset.
– Fluent communication skills in English and Finnish (written and spoken), other languages are an asset

Ideally, you’ll also have
– Previous experience working in an intercultural environment or have lived abroad
