We are now looking for Summer Trainee, Bad Debt Management in Finance Operations to our office located in Tampere.

Bad Debt Management team is responsible for managing legal collection and insolvency processes as well as carrying out bad debt booking and reporting related tasks for all UPM businesses globally. Our summer trainee will learn the whole bad debt management process and its connection to other processes. What you will do
Main tasks and responsibilities as a Trainee in Bad Debt Management team is participating together with controllers in the following tasks:
-Get to know and carry out standard insolvency and legal collection processes of UPM’s customers globally
-Work with collection agencies and partner lawyers worldwide
-Learn to understand bad debt booking principles and carry out bad debt bookings
-Participate in processing trade credit insurance claims
-Ensure compliance in own responsibility area
-Work as an active member of the team contributing and delivering expertise in a timely, accurate and effective manner to all stakeholders worldwide
Who you are
-You are a student with finance or business law background and already advanced in your studies
-You have good collaboration and communication skills
-You have analytical and detail – oriented mindset
-You are flexible, take initiative and have positive attitude towards changing environment with a can-do attitude
-You are fluent in English and Finnish, other language skills are considered as an asset
-Experience of using SAP, Excel or Sharepoint are considered as an asset
