What you will do
-Proceed on-time procurement (scheduling agreements, Purchase Orders, Frame Orders, Purchase requisitions) of required quantities with timely price updates
-Maintain and analyze spend data to identify sourcing potential (supplier consolidation, demand consolidation, e-catalogue implementation)
-Draft, negotiate and conclude low value contracts
-Prepare internal instructions
-Work with sourcing categories and execute operative sourcing tasks
-Verify invoices and resolve issue cases
-Manage supplier relationships, work on their service improvement, make sure the agreed quality changes are applied
-Perform all duties in full compliance of safety and environmental regulations, company policies and procedures
Who you are
We are looking for students (e.g. sourcing, procurement, finance) who have already advanced a bit in their studies. We appreciate a positive and energetic attitude, as well as taking initiative and responsibility. In our work environment you will need excellent English skills (both written and spoken) and fluency in Finnish language. Other UPM language skills like German are considered as an asset.
We will onboard you to your tasks, as well as the rules and ways of working in our workplace. From your first day, you are a full member of our working community, and we encourage you to be active, learn, and ask questions about your work.
