We are now looking for an Automation Designer to join our energetic team! Over the summer, your responsibilities are: – focusing on automation systems in our hydrogen projects and their interfaces in Helen’s production processes – supporting the design of automation systems, preparation of technical specifications, and delivery supervision – participating in the development of a virtual automation system simulation environment to ensure the functionality and compliance of automation systems – managing project engineering tasks, with the content and proportion determined based on the applicant’s skills and project needs Summer work is scheduled from June to August or depending on your situation. The work can be partly remote work and you can discuss about the possibility of remote work with your supervisor when starting the job. In order to succeed, we expect from you: – at least third-year university studies in automation engineering or a bachelor’s degree (AMK) in a relevant field, or equivalent work experience in the field if the study background is less than three years – a strong curiosity and a desire to expand your skills and knowledge – an interest in electrical engineering or automation system programming is considered an advantage – fluency in English, both spoken and written We at the Hydrogen and Power to X unit are driving Helen’s green transition and energy revolution through real-life hydrogen investment projects. You have a fantastic opportunity to join our technical team working on Helen’s first green hydrogen project Helsinki Hydrogen Hub in Vuosaari. We have in-house experts e.g. in the fields of electrical and automation design, process engineering, hydrogen safety & permitting and project management to steer the projects. Our unit operates with a start-up mentality within the schedules of the projects, but as part of a large energy company.
