Overview

We are looking for an experienced Structural Manager to join our team for an exciting new data center construction project in Helsinki metropolitan area, Finland.

What are the main responsibilities?

The main responsibilities include managing the coordination of the building envelope and structural work packages on this large-scale project, overseeing a team of professionals, and supporting the management of multiple subcontractors with a combined package value in the millions of euros. Additionally, the role involves overseeing the contractor’s design elements, ensuring BIM processes are followed, managing project costs, budgets, labor, and performance, and directing the setup of structural activities. The role also includes engaging with key stakeholders to ensure project performance, overseeing client satisfaction in terms of cost, scope, and timescales, monitoring health and safety processes, ensuring quality targets are met, and handling change management according to company processes. This role reports directly to the CSA Lead.

What do we expect from you?

The ideal candidate should have a relevant construction or engineering degree and experience in delivering large-scale projects from concept to handover. They must have skills in scheduling, programming, managing subcontractors, and proficiency in MS Word and Excel. Strong organizational, communication, people, and time management skills are essential, along with the ability to build relationships with clients, consultants, and suppliers. The candidate should be proactive, diligent, detail-oriented, and possess first-class leadership skills to delegate, prioritize workloads, and serve as a role model. Experience in a similar contracting role, particularly with CSA elements, is crucial, and while data centre experience is advantageous, it is not necessary. Good communication skills in English are required, and Finnish language skills are a plus.
