We are looking for a Software Developer who preferably has some previous experience from working with MES (Manufacturing Execution System). We highly value a person who has worked in a pulp and paper industry. If you are familiar with these topics and want to develop your skills even further, this could be a great opportunity for you! Work tasks

– Create specifications and implement them in the MES software application.
– Prepare project documentation and conduct testing, installation, and commissioning activities.
– Analyze existing installations and implement effective solutions.
– Develop structured and maintainable code with comprehensive documentation.
– Manage tasks and monitor project timelines and costs.
– Assist in technical proposals and provide training for colleagues and customers.

We are looking for

– B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Information Sciences, Software Engineering, or a related field.
– 2+ years of experience in MES software, preferably in the pulp and paper sector.
– Proficiency in PL/SQL and relational databases (e.g., Oracle).
– Familiarity with Windows, Linux, and virtualized systems.
– Experience integrating industrial operations with ERP systems..
– Willingness to travel for solution deployments if needed.
– Fluent skills in English, Finnish language is considered in advantage

It is seen as an advantage if you have some of the following:

– C++ experience in Windows using Visual Studio.
– Knowledge of ERP interfaces (e.g., SAP) and industrial protocols (e.g., Modbus, OPC UA/DA).
– Familiarity with source control (e.g., Git) and code quality assurance practices.
