Your role and responsibilities
In this role you will be responsible for application development in area of maintenance and installation applications of Drives. You are a senior developer with a mentoring mindset, -we share our knowledge and skills learning and operating as a multilocation and multinational development team.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will play an important role as part of the Drive Products Tools team in Pitäjänmäki, Helsinki.
You will be mainly accountable for:
– Designing, developing and testing software for new component-based solution. Some examples of already existing products: ABB Drive Composer and ABB Drivetune
– Close cooperation with our UI/UX designers and C++ communications team
– Keeping up to date with technologies, tools and methods, and implementing initiatives to improve operations and customer satisfaction
– Communicating abstract and complex issues to stakeholders in a practical and hands-on manner
– Providing expert assistance for projects and colleagues
– Training junior team members when needed, and heading up or participating in projects.
Qualifications for the role:
– Experience with web technologies front-end application development, using Javascript and any framework
– Experience with Windows development with C#
– Expert with at least years of .NET 4.x
– Practical experience with Unit testing
– Experience of working with Git and and DevOps
– Some exposure to C++
– We value knowledge of Windows domain design patterns, experience in web development and Software Architecture
– M.Sc. or B.Sc. degree in software, automation, electrical engineering or similar field
