Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic Quantity Surveyor to join our team for an exciting new data center construction project in Helsinki metropolitan area, Finland. This is a long-term employment opportunity with a project expected to last several years.
What are the main responsibilities?
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including reviewing project contract documentation and preparing supplier and sub-contractor enquirers. You’ll issue contract documents to the supply chain, monitor changes in the scope of work, and price variations. Additionally, you’ll prepare and agree on monthly progress applications, manage financial and contractual control of sub-contractor accounts, and issue contractual notices. Your role will also involve evaluating loss and expense/acceleration claims, providing fast and accurate estimates, and preparing monthly commercial project reports. Furthermore, you’ll manage project cash flows, provide data and analysis for management, liaise with clients, main contractors, and other departments, and carry out all other duties associated with the role.
What do we expect from you?
The ideal candidate will have an academic degree or relevant industry experience, with a strong background in a Quantity Surveyor role and a comprehensive understanding of work contracts. Proficiency in mechanical and electrical work packages is required, alongside strong numerical skills, excellent client negotiation abilities, and experience with Excel. The candidate should also demonstrate exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, high accuracy, and attention to detail. Good communication skills in English are required, and Finnish language skills are a plus.
