Overview
X Border Support4Games is a cross-border collaboration project funded by Interreg Aurora. The project’s overall goal is to strengthen the competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the gaming industry by improving innovation processes, promoting product development, and supporting entrepreneurial capacity. Through this, the project aims to contribute to a more sustainable gaming industry, strengthen the regional ecosystem, and establish a cross-border game accelerator within the programme area.
The project is now looking for 1-2 project specialists, part-time.
Responsibilities include:
– Community building to enable self-publishing for indie game developers
– Communication initiatives to foster a game culture and strengthen local and regional game development communities, enhancing understanding of the gaming industry in the region
– Organising events i.e. game testing sessions, game jams, and masterclasses
We are looking for you who has:
– Relevant higher education degree or equivalent
– Experience in the gaming industry, with a understanding of self-publishing
– Familiarity with disciplines involved in game development
– Skills in user acquisition and/or online community development
– A start-up mindset and entrepreneurial approach
– Proficiency in English; Swedish and Finnish are an advantage
– Previous experience in project management and/or knowledge of the gaming industry in the Interreg Aurora programme area is an asset
Employment:
for the period 1.3.2025-31.12.2026 or as agreed
The position is primarily 80% of full-time working hours, but part-time employment (20-60%) can also be discussed.
Salary according to General collective agreement for Universities of Applied Sciences and internal directives. The position includes a probationary period of six months.
Location:
Jakobstad or as agreed. We offer flexible working arrangements.
