Overview
We are looking for a Mechanical Supervisor for our client’s long-term project in Stenungsund, Sweden. Start of the project is in the beginning of January 2025.
Main tasks and responsibilities:
– Performing inspections and ensuring adherence to safety regulations
– Supervising, coordinating and training workers
– Monitoring the quality and compliance of work in accordance with job standards
– Implementing improvements, changes or new techniques or procedures
– Supervise the erection and installation work of clients employees and subcontractors
– Approve technical and commercial change orders requested by the subcontractors, within the limits set by the Site Manager
– Work in a safe manner without risk to him/ her selves, others or the environment
– Report all incidents, near miss cases or HSE risks as instructed
– Ensuring effectiveness and quality of erection and installation work
– Preparation of erection and installation work, defining and reserving needed manpower and resources
– Ensuring the safety of erection and installation work in own responsibility area
– Supervision of right timing of erection and installation work
– Daily, weekly and monthly reporting of erection and installation work progress to the Site Manager
– Compile quality documentation
Requirements:
– Degree/Professional qualifications in mechanical engineering
– Experience from large projects preferably in chemical or hydrocarbon industry
– Experience working as a supervisor within the mechanical field
– Familiarity with all types of steel structures, piping installations and mechanical issues
– Ability to supervise the work of others
– Ability to interpret and work from plans, blueprints and sketches
– Excellent written and verbal communication skills
– Reliable, highly organized and able to operate under pressure
– Good knowledge of site erection and installation work
– Good communications skills in English
