Overview
We are looking for an experienced Logistics Manager to join our team for an exciting new data center construction project in Helsinki metropolitan area, Finland.
What are the main responsibilities?
As the Site Logistics Manager, you will manage on-site storage areas, coordinate material deliveries, and ensure subcontractors understand delivery locations. You will maintain organization to ensure orderly deliveries and attend pre-start meetings to address challenges and storage space. You will liaise with subcontractors for traffic management, encourage a “just in time” approach to deliveries, and prevent site road congestion. Additionally, you will manage operatives to ensure health and safety standards, and record labor allocation and work reports.
What do we expect from you?
The ideal candidate should possess a third-level qualification in an engineering or construction-related field; however, a strong trades background with extensive experience in a similar role is also desirable. They should ideally have significant experience in a similar position. The candidate must demonstrate strong, proven leadership skills and experience in managing a team, as well as in-depth practical knowledge of managing loads, storage space, subcontractors, and operatives. Good communication skills in English are required, and Finnish language skills are a plus.
