IT Solution Engineer, CA FG III
1.The job
We are looking for an IT professional with experience in delivering projects in a cross-functional environment, for the position of IT Solution Engineer. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated and experienced professional, s/he has a strong customer orientation, communicates clearly, is open to different points of view, has an analytical and problem-solving mindset, has a strong attitude to work in a team and to share knowledge but also the curiosity and ability to quickly learn new technologies and IT solutions and processes.
2.Key responsibilities
As an IT Solution Engineer, you will be responsible for:
Collaborating with domain experts to understand business needs and objectives;
Assisting in gathering and documenting functional and non-functional requirements to support IT solution development;
Contributing to the creation of documentation and artefacts that capture data, processes, and information flows for IT implementations;
Actively engaging in the production of all artefacts that help capture the data, processes and information flows required for a targeted IT implementation;
Maintaining effective communication with stakeholders, including management, product managers, process coordinators, and contractors, to align work with priorities;
Leveraging expertise in Microsoft Azure and related technologies (such as Azure DevOps, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Functions, Azure API Management, Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory, Azure OpenAI etc.) to identify new opportunities and support ECHA’s technological choices, ensuring maximum efficiency, scalability, and value in IT solutions;
Contributing to the full lifecycle of IT solutions, from design and development to deployment, operations, and continuous service management. This includes ensuring system reliability, optimizing performance, automating deployments, managing infrastructure, and applying IT service management (ITSM) best practices. Candidates with experience in both software development and operational maintenance-including incident management, monitoring, and continuous improvement-will be highly valued;
The IT Solution Engineer must interface with multiple external parties, thus the ability to build partnerships and manage contracts is one of the key skills.

3.Minimum qualifications
a)Successful completion of post-secondary level education attested by a diploma.
Or
b) Successful completion of secondary education giving access to post-secondary education and professional experience of at least three (3) years.
Only qualifications issued by EU Member State authorities or EEA authorities and qualifications recognised as equivalent by the relevant EU or EEA Member State authorities will be accepted.
4.Professional experience
To qualify for this profile, you must have at the closing date for applications a total professional experience of at least one (1) year acquired after achieving the minimum requirements stated out in section 3 of this vacancy notice.
5.Selection criteria
If you meet the eligibility criteria, you will be assessed on the basis of the following selection criteria:
Your academic and professional qualifications and their relevance to the main areas of work listed in section 3.
Preference will be given to academic or professional qualifications obtained in scientific and engineering fields.
Your professional experience: Preference will be given to candidates having experience in functions similar to those outlined above. The Selection Committee will assess the range of fields covered, the type and level of work done and its relevance to the areas of work listed above.
The following will be considered as assets:
Proven experience in developing and operating IT solutions in a public cloud, particularly Microsoft Azure.
Work experience gained in a similar multicultural environment. Preference will be given to work experience abroad.
Your academic and professional qualifications, professional experience and knowledge and experience considered as an asset must be described as precisely as possible in your application.
