Overview

For the 2025 season, we are looking for an experienced greenkeeper.

The role offers an exceptional opportunity for personal development in the greenkeeping industry as you will be working in a tight greenkeeping team under the guidance of our experienced Head Greenkeeper, Morten Bjørnøy.

You will be suitably qualified with an ability to produce a high standard of presentation throughout the golf course. You will be proficient with the use of modern maintenance equipment and shall possess the ability to work on your own initiative but also within our team.

– Daily maintenance of both golf course and surrounding areas to keep our course in the very best condition.
– Ensure that all equipment is kept in a good working order and to report any faults immediately.
– Understand, follow current health & safety procedures.
– A high level of attention to detail in all tasks being undertaken.
– To be highly motivated and productive with a strong work ethic and able to work as part of a larger team.
– To communicate effectively with colleagues, supervisors, and members.
– This position involves early morning starts, working outdoors in all weathers throughout the season.

REQUIREMENTS:
– NVQ Level 2
– Full, clean driving license
– 5 years experience in the golf industry
– Ability to work with others and follow instructions
– High attention to detail
– Social, hardworking, and reliable
– An ability to communicate in a Scandinavian language and/or English

NICE TO HAVE:
– Chain saw certificate (advantageous, not essential)
– Mechanical experience (advantageous, not essential)
– Experience / ability to work with colleagues from different cultures and ethnic backgrounds.
– Interest in languages and learning Norwegian.
– Boating license.

Oustøen Country Club (OCC) has one of the country’s most beautiful golf courses with a hotel / clubhouse (11 rooms) and a first-class restaurant. The club has 800 active members and access to OCC is via the club’s ferry or private boat.
