Karjalan Paperi Oy, a converting contractor for the paper industry, is looking for a Financial Controller for a full-time, permanent position in Lappeenranta, Finland. In this role, you’ll lead accounting processes, drive financial analysis, and bridge communication between our company and parent organization to enhance strategic decision-making. We are looking for someone with accounting experience who is eager to grow in a new role, handling and overseeing financial tasks while ensuring accuracy and compliance in reporting. The ideal candidate should have an interest to analyze financial data, provide insights, and support decision-making processes through financial analysis. We need a professional who can facilitate clear and effective communication between different parts of the organization, ensuring alignment and collaboration on financial matters.

Qualifications:
– 5+ Years of overall experience in accounting roles, preferably with experience from a manufacturing company. Experience from an audit firm is considered an advantage.
– Bachelors degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting/Finance, Economics, or any relevant field.
– Fluent in Finnish and English, both verbal and written.
– Hands on team player, with analytical skills, abilities to handle complexity, provide sales and management with information, and handle a dynamic and changing environment.
– Experience with Netvisor and Honeywell Optivision is preferred but not required.

Key responsibilities:
– Overall responsibility for the accounting and accounting related processes and payments as well as being partly involved in entering accounting transactions (daily general accounting entries performed by external accounting firm).
– Monthly book closings, reconciliation of accounts and reporting to parent company for group consolidation purposes as well as for other purposes.
– Perform financial analysis based on demand from local and group management
– Further develop financial controls, financial analysis and reporting to management for decision making.
– Be a key part of developing financial processes & IT solutions to enhance operating business decisions.
– Serve as the primary bridge between the company and the parent organization, facilitating clear communication and alignment on all finance and reporting related matters.
– Involvement in budget/forecast processes & inventory control.
– Responsible for interactions with auditors and for preparing for the audits.
– Managing tax issues in dialogue with external and group internal tax experts as needed.
