Overview
Enersense Engineering is currently looking for an Environment, Health and Safety Manager to join our client’s dynamic and innovative team that drives the future of infrastructure for high-tech environments. The position is permanent, and the work is located on-site in Hamina, Finland.
As the EHS (Environment, Health and Safety) Manager, you will play a key role in overseeing the company’s Environmental, Health, and Safety programs, while also contributing to the successful delivery of large-scale projects in a fast-paced and innovative environment.
Main tasks and responsibilities:
* Provide direction and support for implementation of the Environment Health and Safety and Security Plan
* Verify that the project/ site-specific EHS (Environment, Health and Safety) procedures protect personnel and the general public
* Hold line management accountable for EHS (Environment, Health and Safety) Management System implementation and performance
* Encourage the proactive involvement of all personnel in executing the EHS (Environment, Health and Safety) program
* Oversee EHS (Environment, Health and Safety) performance on the project/site
* Review incident records and verify that all follow-up actions are completed in a timely manner
* Ensure incidents where personal injuries occur are thoroughly and appropriately investigated and ensure closure of subsequent action items
* Participate in audits and weekly planned inspections of the site and ensure closure of subsequent action items
* Continuously monitor client and contractor EHS (Environment, Health and Safety) performance indicators and project/ site inspection reports
* Conduct performance evaluations to include personal EHS (Environment, Health and Safety) involvement and performance
Requirements:
* Qualification or certification in occupational safety and health (OSH)
* Extensive experience in a EHS (Environment, Health and Safety) Manager role on major construction projects
* Experience working in consultancy, general contractor or client-side environments
* Experience in large scale infrastructure projects in the UK, Europe or Middle East and North Africa region
* Demonstrable longevity on the projects 2-3 years minimum
* Data-center experience would be desirable but other high-hazard/high-risk construction experience in High Voltage sub-station, pharmaceutical, power plant and or petro-chemical projects
* NEBOSH Diploma (Level 6)
* NVQ Level 5 or 6 Certification considered as an advantage
* English language skills
