Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Commissioning Manager to join our team for an exciting new data center construction project in Helsinki metropolitan area, Finland.
What are the main responsibilities?
In this role you will manage all commissioning responsibilities on site, including setting up and closing out the Commissioning Plan, managing direct reports, overseeing the Commissioning Tagging process, and reporting progress. You will chair weekly and daily commissioning meetings, host client meetings, and develop the Project Commissioning Schedule. Additionally, you will manage “Lock Out – Tag Out” processes, compile testing and commissioning documentation, track staff and costs, oversee day-to-day operations, manage subcontractor activities, ensure snagging is resolved, and attend various site meetings. You will also issue weekly progress reports, maintain a photographic diary, and develop professional relationships with clients and vendors.
What do we expect from you?
The ideal candidate will have a degree in Engineering and significant experience in a commissioning manager role on large-scale industrial projects, particularly with mechanical and electrical systems in data centres. They should have a strong understanding of building regulations and European standards, the ability to manage and execute a full IST, and proficiency in developing and managing IST documentation on a digital platform. Excellent organizational and communication skills, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat, are required. The candidate must be able to manage client and contractor relationships, delegate tasks effectively, thrive in a team environment, lead and motivate the team, and possess excellent time management skills. Ambition to succeed and a passion for delivering results are also essential. Good communication skills in English are required, and Finnish language skills are a plus.
