Overview
If you’re an experienced engineer with ambitions, the following might be of interest to you!
“You’ll have the opportunity to influence our strategy, processes, products, and methods – and act as a liaison to the foreign engineering teams while eventually becoming well-versed in operations here in Denmark. It’s an all-around versatile daily routine,” says Managing Director Carsten Aagerup.
Our company is experiencing strong growth in recent years, a trend we expect to continue due to several new long-term projects we’re entering.
We’re looking for someone who can take a leading position in a company with ambitions.
GroundPlug Easy Mounting System in Hillerød is a well-established company that develops and delivers steel foundation solutions. Our solutions are developed by engineers for construction projects and offer a revolutionary excavation-free and concrete-free foundation process, designed to create a solid and sustainable foundation quickly and easily.
We’re based in Hillerød, where we’re part of a larger office community, and we have close collaboration with an external engineering team. You can look forward to joining a warm and friendly team with a relaxed atmosphere, and you’ll also become part of the management group, which includes Carsten Aagerup and Stephanie Rødskov.
Our company primarily has two legs:
Industry – where we deliver industrial infrastructure projects based on our solutions with customers such as the Road Directorate and Rail Net Denmark, including noise barriers, guardrails, and steel bridges.
Private – where we deliver products and solutions for construction projects, ranging from tiny homes and modular construction to larger housing development projects, often through partners.
As our chief engineer, your key responsibilities will include:
Managing the foreign engineering team, ensuring they have the relevant information to further develop products for both “our legs” and can perform calculations for industrial projects.
Contributing to the development of our products – both overall and when a customer has a need that’s slightly different from what we normally do.
Participating in the processing of tender materials, designing solutions with the team, calculating prices and describing deliverables for large and small projects.
Working closely with external partners on our projects.
“In the long run, the hope is that you can take over a large part of the operations in Denmark, allowing Stephanie and me to focus more on strategy and opening new markets – and this also invites you to become a co-owner,” Carsten continues.
Your professional profile:
You’re educated as a civil or diploma engineer in load-bearing structures and have solid experience with steel and load-bearing structures, or you may have a solid background and long experience as a building designer specializing in steel.
You have solid experience and professional ballast – perhaps you’ve been a consultant or self-employed and therefore understand both the technical and business aspects of the field.
If necessary, you can perform calculations yourself and participate in the development of calculation tools for the various business areas.
Your technical toolbox is in order, and you may have knowledge of Scia, AllPlan and/or Tekla Structures, which are some of the relevant programs used by the Polish team – or you’re adept at familiarizing yourself with new programs.
Your personal profile:
A good business overview and ability to quickly understand the complexity of a given solution. You see projects as opportunities without forgetting risk assessment.
Ability to collaborate with many different professional levels, cultures, and personalities.
You thrive in a daily routine where you have many threads out in the world and set the direction yourself.
As a leader, you create collaboration and a sense of shared direction for the team, you’re clear in your speech and communicate expectations clearly. You can delegate professional tasks to the team and know what a solid professional result looks like.
You can work deeply professionally and have the ability to lift yourself up in the helicopter and assess the overall situation.
You have solid professional English (and Danish) so you can communicate with our colleagues and partners abroad.
We offer:
For the right candidate, we offer a highly attractive salary package and excellent conditions.
For EU citizens, we can provide assistance with relocation, and for UK citizens, we offer the possibility to work from our office in Bristol or assist with relocation to Denmark.
